What are the residency requirements to file for divorce in Texas?

Texas law requires that in order to file a divorce in Texas, a person must be a resident of the State of Texas for six months and a resident of the county in which the suit is filed for ninety days, or you may file for divorce in the county where your spouse has resided for ninety days if your spouse has been a resident of Texas for six months. You may also file for divorce in Texas if you are in the military and a resident of Texas, regardless of where you are stationed.
